Family Symmetry Flavour Problem

The constraints on continuous family symmetries coming from flavour changing neutral current limits on the D-term contributions to squark and slepton masses are re-examined. The D-term contributions are shown to be consistent
with even the most conservative limits both for the case of gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking and the case of gravity mediated supersymmetry breaking, for restricted choices of the family symmetry breaking sector.
