Identifying b-Jets in hadronic collisions, a tool for discoveries

Abstract

Main heavy flavor Jets tagging techniques developed at hadron colliders will be discussed, including most recent advances. Focus will be in particular on Tevatron experiments Jets b-tagging application to Top quark physics and to low mass SM Higgs and New Physics searches. A status of b-tagging perspectives at the LHC will be discussed as well as with specific issues connected with the very high energy and Luminosity environment.
