Abstract
The CMS experiment now running at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN is
producing new physics results at a fantastic pace. The number of produced
events up to July 2011 exceeds that for 2010 by a factor of 30, with more to
come in the remaining data taking for 2011. The number of interactions is
approaching the quantity needed to make a definitive statement about whether
the postulated Higgs boson exists or not as well as pushing the limits on
supersymmetric particles and other postulated new physics out to the TeV
mass scale.
