Abstract

The pair production of Z bosons at the LHC is an important process to test the electroweak sector of the Standard Model. It is sensitive to anomalous gauge boson couplings and constitutes an irreducible background to the production of a Higgs boson decaying to vector bosons and to new physics searches. In this talk we present a calculation of the NNLO QCD corrections to Z-boson pair production at hadron colliders. We discuss the size and shape of the perturbative corrections along with their associated scale uncertainties, and compare our results to recent LHC data at 13 TeV.
